Renovation of an educational facility in Simpsonville, South Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Described in broad terms, at a minimum the project consists of re-roofing approximately 114,900 square feet of low-sloped roof, including metal coping, drains, and insulation. This project is to be completed in accordance with all drawings, terms, conditions, and specifications contained or referenced in this solicitation. For a complete detailed description of the work, project documents should be consulted. The contract documents and scope of work were developed and approved by the District Facilities Department and Terracon Consultants, Inc. Inquiry Deadline: March 26, 2019, at 3:00 P.M. EDT Electronic copies of the plans and specifications are available provided that a valid email address is furnished to Terracon Consultants, Inc., by the interested parties. Project Schedule This project is scheduled for immediate execution after proper award and issuance of a Purchase Order. The successful contractor will be allowed to work nights and weekends only if prior arrangements and approval have been secured from the SDGC Project Manager. All work shall be complete within one hundred and twenty (120) calendar days, subject to adjustments as provided in the Contract documents. The project schedule is June 6, 2019, through October 4, 2019. Bidders should note that there is limited access around the building. Inquiries All inquiries/comments shall be submitted in writing to Patricia Phillips, Senior Buyer, 2 Space Drive, Taylors, South Carolina 29687 no later than March 26, 2019, at 3:00 P.M. EDT. Other than during the Pre-Bid Conference, verbal inquiries and comments will not be addressed at any time. Bidders shall not contact any other District employees or representatives in any way other than the method described herein. Bid Security Bidders shall submit Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid. The Bid Security must be in the form of a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check payable to The School District of Greenville County. No personal checks, company checks, or cash will be accepted. Bid Security shall be submitted with the bid or the bid will be considered non-responsive and not subject to an award. Performance and Payment Bonds Prior to work commencing, the successful Prime Contractor(s) shall provide the SDGC Facilities Department Project Manager with Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the awarded contract cost. Liquidated Damages Liquated Damages will be charged at five hundred dollars ($ 500.00) per calendar day.
