Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the construction of a parking garage; and for site work for a parking garage.

Our first development in this pilot is a single-family house at 3479 2nd Street NE, which will be built to meet the Minnesota Enterprise Green Communities Criteria as well as DOE Zero Energy Ready Home Standards. MPHA is seeking a general contractor to join us in this project to bring new affordable and ultra-energy efficient housing to people in need. The house is a four-bedroom, (1) full and (1) ¾ bathroom two-story home with a two-car detached garage. There is additional minor work to an adjacent house which is also owned by MPHA. It is our intention to break ground on this new single-family home in June 2019 and complete it by October 2019. The vacant lot at 3479 2nd St NE is owned by MPHA and will be developed by MPHA. The lot is zoned R1A. The single-family house is to meet and/or exceed all Enterprise Green Communities Criteria as well as be certified in the DOE Zero Energy Ready Home National Program. The house must be built to exacting standards and will be tested at various stages to make sure it meets the energy required ratings and complies with product guidelines. The general contractor will have access to the design team as well as MPHA staff for technical questions. The general contractor will be responsible for the entire build including obtaining and coordinating all subcontractors required to perform the work, scheduling inspections, utility connections, as well as obtaining all City of Minneapolis plan approvals, permits and the Certificate of Occupancy.
