The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District is issuing solicitation set aside for certified small business contractors for the repair of the Emergency Gate Slot Repairs, Phase II, project, located within the Service Gate Tower at the Tully Lake Dam, in Royalston, Massachusetts. The NAICS code for the work described below is 238120. The project is planned to be issued in April 2019, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The location of work to be performed under this contract shall be at the Tully Lake Dam, located in Royalston, Massachusetts. This project consists of the following components: Dewater the south conduit by constructing and installing a bulkhead using the existing trash racks. There are two parallel conduits, and only the south conduit will be dewatered. Once the south conduit section is dewatered, remove and replace vertical steel rails and hardware from the south gate well for the emergency gate within the Gate Tower. There are two rails. These rails are held in place to the embedded steel C-Channels using anchor bolts. The steel rails will be supplied by the government. Install steel sheet plates onto existing vertical T-sections using new anchor blots, also within the gate slot. The steel sheet plates will be supplied by the government. Construct a containment system for the vertical rails and T-sections within the south gate slot. Using abrasive blasting techniques, remove lead-containing paint from the C-Channels that are embedded in the concrete that make up the gate well. Apply a new paint system to the embedded C-Channels. Repairs to any concrete spalling in the conduit walls as needed. Please note this solicitation is set aside for certified small businesses.
