Questions must be submitted on or before 3/29/2019 12:00 PM Bids must be made on forms furnished by the Township and must be accompanied by the anti-collusion and workmen's compensation affidavits, and a bid bond, issued by a surety licensed to conduct business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in the amount of at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid price made payable to the Township. Bidders must be prequalified by PennDOT as contractors (if specified in the bid documents). Bituminous Seal Coat: Prospective bidders must make arrangements to meet with the Director of Public Works by calling 215-766-0189 prior to submitting a bid. Bids will not be accepted from bidders who did not meet with the Director in person to discuss the project. The Traffic Signal Upgrade project is subject to the regulations of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act 442) as amended. Ultra-Thin Bonded Wearing Course: Prospective bidders must make arrangements to meet with the Director of Public Works by calling 215-766-0189 prior to submitting a bid. Bids will not be accepted from bidders who did not meet with the Director in person to discuss the project. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory insurance, Performance, Payment & Maintenance Bonds (if specified in the bid documents) with a corporate surety approved by the Township. Award of contract, if a contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Township reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and waive any informalities.
