Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Geneva, New York. Completed plans call for the addition of a 1,200-square-foot municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a 1,460-square-foot, 18-story above grade municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

The project is a renovation and addition project for the existing Geneva City Hall at 47 Castle Street, Geneva, New York. The scope of work shall include first, second and third level interior renovations, approximately 1,000 s.f. and a three level building addition, approximately 1,200 s.f. The addition will be along the south elevation of the existing building and will include a new electric traction elevator and new stairwell serving three levels. The site work shall include new concrete walks/curbs, site lighting, paving, excavation, backfill and grading. Alternates will include 460 s.f. of additional interior renovation space and the replacement of 18 basement windows. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Rochester office of MRB Group on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM or they may also be examined at the office of the City Engineer, City Hall, 3rd Floor, 47 Castle Street, Geneva, NY on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM; or online through internet based construction information subscription services. The City of Geneva, Ontario County, NY, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities, or to make an award to other than the low bidder. It further reserves the right to limit the amount of the award. Attention of the bidders is particularly directed to the requirements of the conditions of employment to be observed and minimum Wage Rates to be paid under the Contract. Partial funding for the project is being provided by the Community Development Block Grant Program. Section 3, Minority and Women-Owned businesses are encouraged to respond. For a non-refundable fee of Ten Dollars ($10), interested firms may request and receive a CD with electronic copies of the Bidding Documents. If the CD is to be shipped, the Bidder must furnish Avalon with the Bidder active UPS or Federal Express account number or pay Avalon for all shipping and handling costs. The Bidding Documents must be obtained through the Avalon Planroom in order to be considered a Plan Holder of record. Bidding Documents obtained from any other source are for examination only, are not considered complete and are not valid for bidding purposes. The City of Geneva does not discriminate on the basis of handicapped status in admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs and activities. Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions set forth in the instructions to bidders. Upon acceptance of his bid, if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract pursuant to the requirements of the owner, then the check deposited as aforesaid and the money standing to the credit of the same shall be forfeited to the owner as liquidated damages or the payment of the bound enforced for the benefit of the owner. No bidder may withdraw his bid within forty five (45) days after the date set for opening thereof, but may withdraw it at any time prior to closing item for the receipt of bids.
