Engineer's Estimated Cost: $400,000 to $500,000 Project Duration: 50 Calendar Days Liquidated Damages: $1,200.00 Per Calendar Day In general, the work consists of, but is not limited to, the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer pipe via cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) as well as rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes, cleanouts and lampholes owned and maintained by the City of Monterey. There is a limited amount of work located on the Presidio of Monterey and on the Naval Postgraduate School that will require the contractor to follow the special access procedures described in the specifications. The work will not entail offsite disposal of sewer material, contractor will be required to install bypass pumps from the upstream manhole into the downstream manhole during the curing process. Cash, a certified check or cashier's check, payable to the order of the City of Monterey, or a satisfactory bid bond, inoriginal form (no fax or photocopy shall be accepted), executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. The bid bond must be notarized, include the embossed surety seal, and include a Power of Attorney if the signee is not an officer of the surety
