Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Design plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The LYNX Silver Line Project is a proposed 15-mile light rail alignment from Center City Charlotte (Charlotte Gateway Station or Morehead Station) to Central Piedmont Community College Levine Campus in the Town of Matthews. It would include 17-18 stations and at least one expanded and/or new vehicle maintenance facility (VMF). As of June 2026, the project is in the planning phase and public engagement phase. Design work has been paused. The 30% design is expected start in the fall of 2026 and the NEPA process to start in early 2027. A definite scope has not been determined. Information regarding a design team or contractor information has not been disclosed.
