Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Charlotte, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for site work for a transportation facility.
The LYNX Silver Line Project is a proposed 15-mile light rail alignment from Center City Charlotte (Charlotte Gateway Station or Morehead Station) to Central Piedmont Community College Levine Campus in the Town of Matthews. It would include 17-18 stations and at least one expanded and/or new vehicle maintenance facility (VMF). As of May 7, 2024, this project is in the planning phase. No design firm or detailed timeline has been made available, but construction is not expected to being before 2028.
