Site work for a water / sewer project in Portland, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Texas General Land Office ("GLO") seeks a highly skilled contractor to construct graded riprap ("GRR") breakwaters to stabilize the shoreline at Indian Point in San Patricio County, Texas (the "Project"). The selected Contractor shall construct approximately 1,800 linear feet of GRR as breakwaters. The Project scope also includes placement of two daybeacons, surveying, and post-project aerial photography. Land access and an upland staging area at Indian Point Park shall be available to the Contractor. All work will utilize existing and constructed breakwaters as project access. Water access shall not be available for breakwater construction. The GLO will consider proposals from business entities that demonstrate the ability to complete the Project within the guidelines of this Solicitation and any applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. Respondents must execute Exhibit A, Affirmations and Solicitation Acceptance, Exhibit B, Federal Affirmations, and complete other items listed on the Submission Checklist to be considered The GLO has estimated the actual cost of not completing the work within the contracted construction period, including all officially approved extensions thereto, to be Five Hundred Dollars and No/100 ($500.00) PER DAY. The Contractor may be liable for liquidated damages in the amount of Five Hundred Dollars and No/100 ($500.00) PER DAY if Contractor fails to complete the work within the contracted period. However, in no event shall the GLO be entitled to any amount greater than its actual damages.
