Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Cullman, Alabama. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 120,000-square-foot, 2,500-seat playground / park / athletic field; for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The scope of work includes plans for a state-of-the-art sports and arts complex, which he previously referred to as "Project X,. The complex, which is to be located just of Alabama 157 behind Warehouse Discount Grocery, will include a main indoor facility of 120,000 square feet, a football field and track with seating for 2,500, tennis courts, concession areas and parking. The facility will be able to host a multitude of sports and competitions, including football, basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, archery, track and cross country, well as serving as a venue for school classes, summer camps, theatre and arts events. The complex can also be used for corporate events and conventions from all over the Southeast, as there is nowhere else in Cullman County that has the ability for that. As of June 15, 2020, this project has been abandoned and the district will not move forward with it.
