Saving Project...

Renovation of a water / sewer project in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

The project contemplated consists of replacement of three (3) vertical turbine service water pumps and associated equipment. The equipment (service water pump nos. 1, 5 and 6) are located within the Effluent Pump Station, Building 247 of the Jones Island Water Reclamation Facility (JIWRF). The Bid consists of the following work in general: Remove the existing pump motors, motor stands, discharge heads, column pipes, driveshafts and pumps. Blast clean and epoxy coat the existing motor stands, discharge heads and stuffing boxes for reuse. Rebuild existing stuffing boxes and install in discharge heads. Furnish and install three (3) new pumps and pump columns. Anchor the blast cleaned and epoxy coated motor stands and discharge heads to the pump bases. Furnish and install three (3) new pump motors Anchor the new pump motors to the existing motor stands and reconnect the existing motor power and controls. Connect the pumps to the drive system. Balance and align the pumps to the drive sytem as installed and under normal operating conditions. Complete 7-day test run Other work described in the specifications and as necessary to complete the project.
