Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Kaslo, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
Replacement of two existing bridges with new two-way two-lane, single span, 16 metre long bridges, with 700 mm deep prestressed concrete box stringers, cast-in-place concrete abutments, steel pipe piles, deck and parapets. Approximately 500 m of asphalt paved approaches, removal and disposal of existing bridges in their entirety, design, installation and removal of a single lane detour for each bridge replacement, and riprap installation in the channel at each Site. Relocate existing Lyle Creek channel. Highway 31A, Whitewater Bridge and Lyle Creek Bridge and Approaches, approximately 25 km west of Kaslo. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca.
