The City of Spring Valley Village is requesting bids for the Cedarbrake Drive Drainage Improvements Project. The project generally involves installation of approximately 600 LF of 24" diameter polypropylene storm sewer, including associated manholes and appurtenances, as well as all labor, equipment, materials, and incidentals required for the project. Deadline for submitting written requests for clarifications will be Monday, April 8, 2019 at 4:30 p.m. Bid security in the amount of 5% of the greatest amount bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the General Instructions to Bidders. Bids will be required to be submitted under a condition of irrevocability for a period of ninety (90) days after bid opening.It shall be each bidder's sole responsibility to inspect the site of the work and to inform himself regarding all local conditions under which the work is to be done. It shall be understood and agreed that all such factors have been thoroughly investigated and considered in the preparation of the bid submitted. Upon consideration of the proposals, the City Council plans to award a Contract; however the City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all formalities and technicalities, and to accept any bid which it deems advantageous to the City. Each bidder agrees to waive any claim it has or may have against the Owner, the Engineer, and their respective employees, arising out of or in connection with the administration, evaluation or recommendation of any bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond in an amount of 100% of the total contract price. Bids Must Be Received by the City Secretary of the City of Spring Valley Village No Later Than said time and date. No Bid Will Be Accepted After That Date and Time. All Bids Received After That Date and Time Will Be Considered Unresponsive. It Is the Sole Responsibility of the Bidder to Insure That His/her Bid Is Actually in the City Secretarys Office Prior to the Bid Submission Deadline.
