Renovation of a transportation facility in San Jose, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.
The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will be soliciting bids for its Emergency Standby Generator at Eastridge Paratransit Facility (Project). Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, services, supervision, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install a new 250 kW Diesel Fueled Standby Generator Set with a 660 Gallon Sub-base belly tank. The new generator will serve as the primary back-up system for the facility's electrical power supply during electrical utility interruptions. Major components include the generator set, equipment pad and foundation, conduits, wiring and enclosures. The Project also includes: Tie-in of the generator set to the existing Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS), Installation of a remote monitoring system, Electrical modifications, and upgrades to the facility's existing electrical systems as specified in the Contract Documents, and startup, testing, commissioning, documentation, training, and supplying documentation to support VTA's efforts to obtain permits for the generator set. The Engineer's Estimate for this Work ranges from $300,000 to $500,000.Refer to Section 6.4 Time for Performance for the time limit to complete all Work.
