This project is for the Pavement Markings at the following airports: Ashland Regional Airport (Worthington, KY) Addington Field, Elizabethtown Regional Airport (Elizabethtown, KY) Sturgis Municipal Airport (Sturgis, KY) These projects are being bid as one bid package but will be constructed and managed as individual projects at each airport. Contracts with each airport sponsor and separate Performance and Payment bonds payable to each airport sponsor will be required for each location. Each sealed proposal shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or satisfactory bid bond, in a sum that is not less than five (5) percent of the aggregate amount of bid, payable to the Ashland Regional Airport Board, Elizabethtown Regional Airport Board, and Sturgis Municipal Airport Board. The successful bidder will be required to execute Contract and to provide Contract Surety in an amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the bid amount for performance, and a bond in the amount equal to one hundred (100) percent of the bid amount guaranteeing the payment of all labor, materials, etc. Rights to waive any formality in any proposed guarantee, to reject any and all bids, and to negotiate with the apparent low bidder to such extent as may be necessary, are reserved. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. Bids may be held by the Airport Boards for a period not to exceed one hundred twenty (120) calendar days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract. Each bidder shall submit "evidence of competency" and "evidence of financial responsibility" to the Owner at the time of bid opening. Unless otherwise specified, a bidder may submit evidence that he or she is prequalified with the State Highway Division and is on the current "bidder's list" of the state in which the proposed work is located. Such evidence of State Highway Division prequalification may be submitted as evidence of financial responsibility in lieu of the certified statements or reports specified.
