This project involves construction of: o Approximately 10,600 LF of roadway widening along Route 10 from Bermuda Triangle Road to Rivers Bend Boulevard. The improvements generally consist of widening from four lanes to eight lanes with a median. o Approximately 1,300 LF of roadway widening along Old Bermuda Hundred Road from Route 10 to 1,300 LF south of Route 10. The improvements generally consist of widening from two lanes to four lanes with a median and the installation of a quadruple box culvert at Johnson Creek. o Approximately 2,500 LF along Meadowville Road from Route 10 to Hogans Drive. The improvements generally consist of widening from two lanes to six lanes with a median from Route 10 to Rivers Bend Boulevard and widening from four lanes to six lanes with a median from Rivers Bend Boulevard to Hogans Drive. o Approximately 1,000 LF of improvements along Sunset Boulevard which generally consist of providing a cul-de-sac near Rivers Bend Boulevard on the western end and extending the road to Bermuda Hundred Road on the eastern end. o Approximately 250 LF of improvements on Rivers Bend Boulevard. The existing road will be realigned to tie in to Meadowville Road via a signalized intersection. o Connection road improvements at Bermuda Triangle Road, Ware Bottom Spring Road, Harbour East Road, Rivers Bend Road and Inge Road. The work for the items listed above will include clearing, grading, demolition, asphalt paving, drainage structures, box culverts, erosion & sediment control, lighting, signals, signage, pavement markings, adjustment of utilities and other items necessary for the completion of the work Contractors must be on VDOT's current Pre-qualified list at the time/ date set for the opening of bids in order to be eligible for this contract. No pre-bid conference will be held for this project.
