The Project includes completion of golf course renovation improvements as described in the plans and specifications for the Project known as 2019 Golf Improvement Project, Chamberlain Country Club.The Work can generally be described to include construction shaping and finishing of golf course features including greens, tees, fairways and roughs, installation of HDPE irrigation piping, sprinkler heads, wire and controls and site restoration work inclusive of seeding, fertilizing and hydro-mulching. It is expected that all bidders have sufficient experience and expertise in acceptable golf course construction methods and that they are familiar with the specific project site, working conditions, and time in which the project must be completed. The Work to be performed under this contract shall be substantially completed on or before August 31, 2019 with final completion on or before September 30, 2019. No work to commence before April 29, 2019. A Bid Bond is required. If submitted by certified check or cashier's check, it is 5% of the bid. If submitted as a bid bond, it is 10% of the bid. A Payment and Performance Bond is required. The Performance Bond shall be in the amount equal to the bid. The Successful Bidder shall be responsible for providing evidence or affidavits of payment for labor and installation for which previous payments are made and to provide insurance of the types and amounts as required by the City of Chamberlain. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or any part of the bid, or to accept a bidder other than the lowest in case it seems advisable to said Project Manager to do so. No bidder may withdraw his bid within thirty (30) days after the actual date of opening thereof. By virtue of statutory authority, preference may be given to bidders residing within the State of South Dakota.
