The School District of Pickens County is soliciting competitive bids from qualified contractors to replace the gym bleachers at Gettys Middle and R.C. Edwards Middle schools. Perspective bidders shall be licensed General Contractors in the State of SC and able to demonstrate a successful history of installing gym bleachers of similar size/ scope. The School District of Pickens County, hereafter referred to as the "District" or "SDPC", is soliciting competitive bids from qualified contractors to replace the gym bleachers at Gettys Middle and R.C. Edwards Middle schools. Perspective bidders shall be licensed General Contractors in the State of SC and able to demonstrate a successful history of installing gym bleachers of similar size/ scope. Prospective bidders should have a brick and mortar office located within 200 highway miles of The School District ofPickens County (1348 Griffin Mill Road Easley, SC 29640). The current bleachers at Gettys Middle School are metal and were installed when the gym was built in 1979. All of the bleachers on home side (upper & lower) shall be replaced. The visitor side bleachers are newer and will remain. The bleachers at R.C. Edwards Middle are wood and were installed when the gym was built in 1971. All of these bleachers shall be replaced. Pictures of the existing bleachers are included. Base Bid: Install Sheridan Seating Motorized Telescopic Bleachers Model M200, or an approved equal, to replace existing bleachers one for one (length, rows, and seats) or all closely as current design/ safety parameters allow. All bleachers shall have 3/Tplywood decking and shall have 10 GA structural tube steel posts at a minimum. Install per the attached manufacturer's specifications. Scope of Work: Completely remove and properly dispose of all of the gym home side bleachers (lower and upper) at GMS. (The newer molded plastic bleachers on the visitor side, without upper seating area, are to remain.) Completely remove and properly dispose of all of the bleachers in the gym at RC Edwards Middle. Protect gym flooring, walls, and other areas of the building/ property during removal, disposal, and installation. Provide rollback waste dumpster onsite for disposal (coordinate location) Properly prep and install new bleachers per manufacturer's specifications (coordinate color selections and installation with District Project Coordinator). After installation: Clean and adjust each seat assembly. Clean installed seating on exposed and semi-exposed surfaces and touch-up all exposed finishes. Clean any dust and debris left from installation from gym walls and floor
