Site work for a water / sewer project in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
This project consists of 3 individual sewer rehabilitation contracts to be awarded separately: Contract 1: Manhole-to-manhole Cipp Lining Includes Pre and Post CCTV Inspection, Jetting & Cleaning, Root Cutting, Grease and Sedimentation Removal; installation of manhole-tomanhole CIPP liners in approximately 315 LF of 12, 560 LF of 10 and 4,030 LF of 8 Sanitary Sewer; reinstallation of lateral connections; trimming of tap break in laterals; all bypass pumping and traffic control as may be required; all required cleanup and site restoration. Contract 2: Spot Lining, Grouting & Manhole Rehabilitation - Involves the elimination of inflow and infiltration into forty-five (45) manholes, by way of grout injection, spot repairs and manhole lining. Work also includes sanitary sewer CIPP spot lining repairs, grouting of designated sewer joints and active service laterals, traffic control as may be required, and all required, cleanup and site restoration. Contract 3: Open Cut Repairs - Involves installation of five (5) manholes, 25 LF of sanitary sewer point repairs, wye and lateral repairs, any bypass pumping, Contractor CCTV verification of the repair locations, post repair CCTV, complete restoration in asphalt street, brick street, concrete sidewalk or landscape areas as needed, traffic control as may be required, cleanup and site restoration. Proposals shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words 'Comprehensive Sewer Rehabilitation Project.' The Proposals must be made to the Borough of Dormont, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Proposal guarantee. Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agreement are on file and open to public inspection at the office of the Borough Engineer, Borough of Dormont, 1444 Hillsdale Avenue, Suite 10, Dormont, PA 15216. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workmans Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreements. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on this contract. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidders Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Borough of Dormont in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. Contractor must also submit a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with their bid or the bid will be considered nonresponsive. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein. The Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
