Notice is hereby given that sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, equipment, labor, and services for the Hersey Street Reconstruction And Laurel & Hersey Railroad Crossing No. 2017-09 & 2011-36 Bids received after this time will not be considered. All bids received prior to the due date and time and in proper form will be publicly opened and read in the Siskiyou Conference Room and thereafter bid documents, shall be made available for public inspection. If the total amount of the contract exceeds $100,000, the award of the contract must be approved by the Local Contract Review Board (City Council). A contract for the work will be awarded or bids may be rejected, separately or entirely, within thirty (30) days after bid opening. The general character of the work for this Project includes supplying all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to construct HERSEY STREET RECONSTRUCTION and LAUREL & HERSEY RAILROAD CROSSING No. 2017-09 & 2011-36 including but not limited to the following approximate quantities for major work items: - Earthwork and Drainage - Full Depth Reclamation - Asphalt Concrete Paving - Miscellaneous Concrete Structures - Electrical No bid shall be received or considered unless the bidder is registered with the Construction Contractor's Board. Bidders shall pre-qualify as provided by ORS Chapter 279C.430 and in accordance with the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction, Oregon Chapter of APWA, for all classes of construction. Pre-qualification applications must be received by the City of Ashland at least five (5) calendar days prior to the date set for opening of the bids.
