A timeline for the award is not yet established.** The Town of Ashburnham would like to extend its private dark fiber network to incorporate additional Town and School buildings throughout town. The network will be a hub and spoke design with the Public Safety Building being the hub and the spokes listed below. The selected contractor shall complete the following work: Provide a design for the installation of the private dark fiber network; Installing a fiber optic with a single mode fiber with a minimum of 96 strands; Setting up the hub; Running and installing fiber along the designed route to include all six spokes of the network; Installing and ending the fiber in wall mounted enclosures at each spoke and the hub location; Estimated materials will include: 11,370 ft of 96ct SM Loose Tube Fiber; 37,000 ft of 6ct Loose Tube Fiber; 6 6ct Wall Mount Terminations SC; and 4 450B Splice Enclosures. Removing all debris; and Securing proper permits, if required, from Town. All bid prices submitted in response to this solicitation of quotes must remain firm for 30 (thirty) days following the bid opening or until a contract is executed, whichever occurs first. The Town of Ashburnham reserves the right to: Cancel this requests for quotes at any time, with or without notice to prospective bidders. Reasonable efforts will be made to give timely notice. Accept or reject, in whole or in part, any and all bids as permitted by law. Award contracts as it deems best serves the interests of the Town of Ashburnham. Waive or adjust non-statutory bid requirements before or after bids are opened in whatever ways it deems best serves the interests of the Town of Ashburnham, while also being non- prejudicial to the interests of fair competition. The Town of Ashburnham will review all quotations in a timely manner. Quotations shall be reviewed in conformity with the requirements of MGL Chapter 30 & 39M. The winning bidder will be the lowest responsible bidder. A responsible bidder possesses the skill, ability, and integrity necessary for faithful performance of the work. 50% Payment Bond--Bond in the amount of 50% of the contract price due from selected contractor, upon contract award (if award is greater than $25,000)--Must have ability to obtain Payment Bond when submitting bid.
