2019 Sewer Pump Station CW-4 Replacement. The bids will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers on the main floor of Norm Dicks Government Center at 345 6th Street, Bremerton, Washington 98337. Construct a new wet well, with new submersible pumps, piping, and level controls within the wet well, construct a new valve and meter vault, construct a new controls shed, install new electrical and controls equipment, construct a retaining wall and other miscellaneous site improvements, and install a new generator set at the existing Pump Station CW-4 site. Connect an existing unused 8-inch ductile iron force main to the new pump station and to the existing 24-inch Cross Town Pipeline. Construct a shared triplex grinder pump station to replace the gravity side sewers for 12 homes along Bridgeview Lane and 18th Street, and individual grinder pumps for 6 homes to replace the gravity side sewers along 17th Street between Ohio Avenue and High Avenue. Install 800 feet of 6-inch HDPE force main with valves in 17th Street between Ohio Avenue and High Avenue. The Work shall be completed within 200 calendar days of the Notice to Proceed. All bid proposals must be made on the blank forms furnished in the Contract Documents. Sealed envelopes containing bids shall be entitled: 2019 Sewer Pump Station CW-4 Replacement Project. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. The failure to furnish a bid deposit of a minimum of 5 percent shall make the bid nonresponsive and shall cause the bid to be rejected by the Contracting Agency. The successful bidder will also be required to provide a Performance Bond for 100 percent of the Contract Price. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of Bremerton. All communications related to the project shall be directed to the City prior to opening of Bids:William Davis. The City of Bremerton reserves the right to reject any and all bids on any or all schedules or alternates or to waive any informalities in the bidding and shall determine which bid or bidders is the most satisfactory and responsible bidder and shall be the sole judge thereof. No plea of mistake in the bid shall be available to the bidder for the recovery of his/her deposit or as a defense to any action based upon the neglect or refusal to execute a contract.
