Installation services - Civil, electrical and plumbing work to grade and tie in three portable classrooms and one portable restroom into existing utilities. Supply and installation of the portable classrooms and restroom done by others. Scope is located in the Conlan Hall parking area on the 50 Frida Kahlo Way College Campus. Time of Work :42 Calendar Days from Notice to Proceed Date. Liquidated Damages: $1,000 /Calendar Day Last day to submit questions is 7th May 2019. Questions to be submitted in writing to the project manager. Bid - 10 % of bids over $15,000 Performance & Payment - 100 % of bids over $25,000. It is the policy of the San Francisco Community College District to encourage full and equitable business opportunities in the areas of construction and construction-related services for all small local business enterprises wishing to do business with the District. Prime contractors are encouraged to seek the participation of local small, minority and women owned firms as subcontractors for this project and all District public works projects. Local small, minority and women owned firms qualified to perform work on this project are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting to meet prospective prime/general contractor bidders for this work or to bid as prime contractors Prospective bidders and subcontractors are on notice that the Board of Trustees has adopted a policy to encourage and facilitate full and equitable business opportunities, specifically in the area of construction contracting for all small businesses wishing to do business with the District. As such, the District has determined that the minimum small business subcontracting participation goal on this project to be twenty-five percent (25%). Please review the Small Business Enterprise Rules, Regulations, Requirements and Forms section of this bid document for more information on how to comply with this contract requirement. In addition, qualified SBE firms are encouraged to bid as prime contractors for this project. Accepted SBE certifications are the California Department of General Services and San Francisco Human Rights Commission. The Board of Trustees' has adopted a policy intended to target employment opportunities created by the District's construction contracts to its qualified students, particularly graduates of its construction job training programs. In addition, contractors bidding on this project are encouraged to recruit and hire qualified residents of the City and County of San Francisco for work created by this project, as feasible. The City College of San Francisco reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities. Bidder's attention is called to the requirements for payment of prevailing wages Bidder's attention is called to the requirements of SB 854. Contractors are responsible for compliance with the new contractor registration program. Every contractor or subcontractor bidding on a public works project must register with the Department of Industrial Relations. On or after March 1, 2015, all CCSF bid invitations and public work contracts must include notice of the registration requirements. Beginning on April 1, 2015, the college may only award contracts to contractors and subcontractors registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. After that the DIR may cancel any contract for public work that does not use registered contractors or subcontractors.
