Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brunswick, Georgia. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Project was not awarded. Some design revisions will be done and this project will go out for rebid at a later date. This project consists of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for Lanier - Gloucester Intersection Improvements, including cleanup and any incidental work thereto to complete the project. All work is to meet specifications and/or standards of the Georgia Department of Transportation Project will include: Removal and replacement of concrete curb and gutter; Mill existing asphalt pavement; Graded aggregate base, asphalt binder, and asphalt surface course pavement widening; Construction of concrete sidewalks and pedestrian islands All bidders must be licensed to conduct business of this nature in the State of Georgia. Bidders must be fully insured so as to hold the City of Brunswick harmless as a result of any action or accident related to this project. A Bid Bond of 10% of the amount of the bid must accompany the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the total Contract amount. During the course of construction, the contractor shall have a superintendent on the site at all times during performances of the work. Monthly progress pay requests may be submitted to the City Engineer for payment. The City will honor same within 30 days after receipt. No Bid may be withdrawn after closing for a period of 30 calendar days. The City of Brunswick, owner, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, negotiate, waive informalities and/or make the award in the best interest of the City of Brunswick.
