Supplying high service pumps at 1852 East U.S. Highway 136 in the City of Carthage, Hancock County, Illinois. Work includes, but is not limited to, the several items and quantities of work as follows: Supplying high service pumps and supervising installations. This amount is totally refundable if plans and specifications are returned in good condition within 30 days of the date set for receiving Bids. Payment for the proposed project shall be made from funds currently available. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the prevailing rate of wages will be paid to all workmen, laborers, and mechanics performing work under this project, and that the contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. Contractor shall meet the requirements of the Davis- Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA). It is the intent of the City of Carthage to award the work to the lowest responsible bidder, but the City reserves the right, if in the judgment of its City Council, any bid or bids received are not acceptable, to reject any or all bids and also reserves the right to waive irregularities and to accept such bid which the City Council deems to be in the best interest of the City of Carthage, Illinois.
