Site work and asbestos abatement for an educational facility in Carthage, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; and for asbestos abatement for a educational facility.
Project consists of Abatement of asbestos containing materials (flooring, mastic, chalkboard adhesive, ceiling texture, pipe insulation, pipe fitting insulation, window caulk, etc) and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. The building is approximately 8000 sf and is a split level construction type. The building is currently vacant and has been vacant for several years. Qualified bidders may submit bids for project as described in this Document. Submit bids according to the Instructions to Bidders. Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work General Contract (all trades). Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5% percent of the bid amount. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 180 days after opening of bids. The owner is applying for federal grant funding for this project and the application and approval process is lengthy. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
