1. Location is the airfield north of the Brandon Municipal Airport located at 405 Agnew Drive. Refer to this Site Plan. 2. Remove and dispose of approximately 7,526m of existing fencing. 3. Supply and install approximately 7,526m of 8' wildlife fencing and four (4) double swing vehicle gates. 4. Fence shall be replaced in same location as existing fencing. The existing fence shall remain up until replaced. 5. Gates shall be installed in the locations as indicated on the Gate Locations document provided for reference. Three (3) of the four (4) vehicle gates are to be installed in existing locations. One (1) gate at the west end of the runway will be a new access point. 6. Gate openings: 35' wide. 7. Fencing height: 8' high 8. The Contractor will be responsible for the removal and disposal of all trees, bush, stumps, logs and other vegetation and debris that would interfere with the proper construction of the fence. Administrative inquiries and requests for clarification of the Tender process shall be made to Lindsay Loree, either by Fax at 204-726-8546 or Email purchasing@brandon.ca and must be received not less than seven (7) days prior to the date for closing of Tenders. The Bidder shall contact the City to clarify any ambiguities, omissions, and/or contradictions preventing the comprehension of this document. If the Bidder does not contact the City, it will be deduced that no ambiguities, omissions, and/or contradictions prevented the completion of the contract. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Tenders, the City in its sole discretion may reject as non- compliant any Tender which contains omissions, erasures; is ambiguous or unclear as to meaning or intent; is incomplete, illegible, conditional or contains a qualifier; contains any non-requested alterations or additions to the information provided by the City; is obviously unbalanced; or fails to comply sufficiently with the Instructions to Bidders. The City may, in its sole discretion, waive any and all defects, informalities, and accept any Tender, as compliant, which it considers is in the best interest of the City of Brandon. The City reserves the right to cancel this Tender at any time. The Award of the Tender, if it is to be awarded, shall be made within sixty (60) calendar days of the date on which the Tenders were opened, unless an extension of the said sixty (60) days is mutually agreed upon in writing between one or more Bidders and the City. Should no award be made within the said sixty (60) days or within any mutually agreeable extension thereof, then all Bidders shall be relieved of any obligation to enter into a Contract. The award of the Tender will not be binding until the successful Bidder has received written notification of the award of the Tender from the Procurement Manager of the City of Brandon. No other act of the City shall constitute an award of the Tender. The award of the Tender shall fall under the governing laws of the Province of Manitoba. The lowest or any Tender will not necessarily be accepted.
