Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Bay Harbor Islands, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The nature and scope of this project is: The work shall consist of, resurfacing and restriping of the Municipal Parking Lot on 100th Street. The entire lot is 11,250 SF and currently consists of 28 parking spaces in addition to the 5 off street spaces. The objective of the project is to replace the fatigued asphalt surface, provide efficient surface runoff and, reconfigure the parking spaces to meet code, maximize the lot and provide 2 handicap parking spaces with the requisite signage. There may also be a need for base course repairs, resulting from the weakened/porous asphalt. The new configuration shall allow for a total of 33 regular spaces and 2 handicap spaces. The 5 off street parking spaces shall be maintained. The total number of spaces for the reconfigured lot is 35.The work shall also include removal and replacement of existing wheel stops and removal and disposal of existing meter poles. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.The Town of Bay Harbor Islands reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any and all bids.
