Renovation of a water / sewer project in Richmond, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
as of 7/3/2019: was advised to call back on 9/19/2019 For furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and services specified for the construction of West County Wastewater District Project No. 19PS601, Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) Roof Replacements Phase 2, in conformance with the approved Contract Documents. The work covered by this contract will be performed at the WCWD Water Pollution Control Plant (WPCP) located at 2377 Garden Tract Road, in unincorporated Contra Costa County CA, 94801. The work will be performed at the following buildings: 1) Administration Building (WPCP), 2) Chemical and Dewatering Building, 3) Effluent Building, 4) Electric Blower Building, 5) Engine Blower Building, 6) Old Headworks Building (North), 7) RAS Building, 8) South Headworks Building and 9) Thickener Building (North / South). The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Obtaining all necessary permits prior to starting the work, unless otherwise instructed by WCWD staff; 2) Power washing entire roof surfaces; 3) Performing three (3)-course repairs of all curb corners, turns and penetrations; 4) Cutting out all blisters and ridges; 5) Installing Garla Block low VOC primer over entire roof surfaces; 6) Applying Title 24 White Knight LO Plus Base Coat; 7) Applying Title 24 White Knight LO Plus Top Coat; 8) Cutting and capping the five (5) exposed beam edges protruding from the center portion of the southern wall (Water Pollution Control Plant Administration Building); 9) Removing and replacing approximately 500 linear feet of roof trim; 10) Removing all existing gravel; 11) Removing existing roof systems down to the structural deck; 12) Cutting out patches and installing two ply modified built up roofing in cold adhesive; 13) Applying Weatherscreen at 8g per sq.; 14) Embedding gravel at 400-500 lbs per sq. into wet adhesive; 15) Installing new 0.040 coping; 16) Inspecting the skylight roof hatch (Effluent Pump Building); 17) Performing subsequent waterproofing, if necessary; 18) Removing the existing roof system down to the tapered lightweight concrete; 19) Installing 1/2" insulation board fastened to the steel deck; 20) Installing vented base sheet fastened to the lightweight concrete; 21) Installing two plies of Type IV fiberglass felt in Type III hot asphalt; 22) Installing two ply, mineral surfaced, modified base flashings set in hot asphalt; 23) Applying flood coat of hot asphalt and gravel surfacing; 24) Installing new ANSI Spri ES-1.040 coping cap and edge metal; 25) Reinstalling drains; 26) Installing lead jacks at all penetrations; 27) Making necessary electrical and equipment adjustments; 28) Providing all materials, equipment and apparatus not specifically mentioned herein or noted on the drawings, but which are necessary to complete the work specified; 29) Installing flashings as shown in the details; 30) Performing work site cleanup duties, including, but not limited to removing all debris and placing materials, supplies and equipment in an organized manner, prior to leaving the site, each day; 31) All other work as shown and specified in the Contract Documents. Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to Part 7, Chapter 1, Article 2, and Section 1770 et. seq. of the Labor Code of the State of California, the successful bidding contractor and its subcontractors shall pay their labor forces not less than the general prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the Director of Industrial Relations, and travel and subsistence pay such as defined in applicable collective bargaining agreements filed in accordance with Sections 1773.1 and 1773.8 of said Labor Code, for work needed and performed on this Project. Said determinations, in effect at the time of publishing this notice, are on file at the above identified District Office and may be examined there, and copies of which are available to any interested party on request. It shall, pursuant to the provisions of Section 1773.2 of said Labor Code, be a requirement of the work for the successful bidding contractor to post and maintain a copy of said wages' determination at the project sited throughout the duration of the work. Engineer Estimate = $400,000 Bids to receive consideration must be signed by the bonafide prime contractor who proposes to undertake the work and who is properly licensed in accordance with the Contractor's License Law as provided beginning at Section 7000 of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California. The valid license(s) required for the work as follows: A combination of Class A and Class C-22 (for Asbestos), a combination of Class B and C-22 (for Asbestos), or a Combination of Class C-7 (for Low Voltage Systems), Class C-10 (for Electrical), Class C-22 (for Asbestos), and C-39 (for Roofing). Each bid submitted must be on the forms furnished within the Project Contract and must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bidder's bond for an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the aggregate total bid. In accordance with SB 854, all participating contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the Public Works Contractor Registration program established by the Department of Industrial Relations. The Contractor shall be allowed to substitute securities for any funds withheld to ensure performance under this Contract pursuant to Section 22300 of the California Public Contract Code. The District Board of Directors reserves the right to reject any or all bids for the work and waive any irregularity in bids received.
