Site work and paving for a civil project in Ocilla, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
This project is being rebid. Any bid packages and specifications requested or received prior are valid. The Project consists of +/- 3,200 linear feet of 8" PVC Sewer Main, +/- 1,900 linear feet of 10" Cured In Place Piping, +/-2,000 linear feet of 8" Cured in Place Piping, assorted 18"-36" storm drain piping, 5,800 linear feet of 24" roll over curb and gutter,+/- 23 drop inlets and +/- 360 Tons of 1" 9.5 mm Superpave Asphalt Resurfacing. The City of Ocilla, Georgia reserves the right to reject any or all bids including without limitation, the rights to reject any or all nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids; and to make an award in the best interest of the City of Ocilla. The City of Ocilla is committed to Affirmatively Further Fair Housing. This project is funded in part by a Community Development Block Grant. The work to be performed under this contract is under a program providing direct Federal financial assistance from the Department of Housing and Urban Development and is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968 as amended, 12 U.S.C. 1701 U. Section 3 requires that to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for employment and training be given to the low-income residents of the project area, and contracts for work in connection with the project to be awarded to business concerns which are located in, or owned in substantial part by persons residing in the area of the project. Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. All permits required for the construction of this project are expected to be approved prior to the date of the bid opening. NPDES permitting will be required on this project. No acquisition of property for easements, right of way, etc. is expected on this project.
