Site work for a water / sewer project in Great Falls, Montana. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

**As of July 8, 2019, this project was on hold. Decision to rebid is still pending. General project activities include the following: Install fusible PVC water mains using horizontal directional drilling (HDD); install push-on PVC water main and ductile iron fittings; install fire hydrants; salvage fire hydrants; install meter manholes with combination air/vacuum valves; remove and replace gate valves; install Owner-supplied butterfly valves; install cut-in valves; remove and replace asphalt pavement and base course gravel; install geotextile separation fabric; remove and replace concrete pavement; place flowable fill; provide temporary water service; remove and replace curb & gutter, handicap ramps, and concrete sidewalk; new street monument; utility crossings; pavement marking replacement; seeding; place sod and fertilize; remove and replace irrigation systems; traffic control; dewatering. The project includes HDD and trenched water main installation. The project will be awarded to the lowest responsible, qualified hdd contractor. Bidder shall be an hdd contractor deemed qualified by submittal and review of the hdd contractor qualification questionnaire. Bidders not previously responding to the hdd contractor request for qualifications shall complete and submit the hdd contractor qualification questionnaire bound into the contract documents with their bid. Each hdd contractor qualifications will be evaluated on the following basis: personnel assigned to the project; past performance and related project experience; equipment availability and condition; financial information and bonding capacity; and other qualification requirements. Upon completion of the evaluation process, hdd contractor qualification status will be determined. Contractor and any of the contracto subcontractors doing work on this project will be required to obtain registration with the montana department of labor and industry (dli). Forms for registration are available from the department of labor and industry, p.O. Box 8011, 1805 prospect, helena, montana 59604-8011. Information on registration can be obtained by calling 1-406-444- 7734. Contractor is not required to have registered with the dli prior to bidding on this project, but must have registered prior to execution of the construction agreement. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond payable to City of Great Falls, in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid. Successful BIDDERS shall furnish an approved Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Insurance, as required, shall be provided by the successful BIDDER(s) and a certificate(s) of that insurance shall be provided. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals received, to waive informalities, to postpone the award of the contract for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days, and to accept the lowest responsive and responsible bid which is in the best interest of the owner.
