Renovation of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a educational facility; and laboratory facility.

The scope of the project will include a Master Program for the entire Faculty of Medicine operations. The building condition assessment and program would include short-term recommendations on upgrades and land allocations to meet short term needs. The building conditions assessment of the buildings and infrastructure of campus facility conditions would include the following buildings; Medical Sciences Building (c1968); Terrence Donnelly Centre for Biomedical and Monomolecular Research (c2005); Rehabilitation Sciences Building (c 1958); existing buildings and structures systems including structural review ie floor-to-floor heights to support tiered classrooms, HVAC, electrical systems, building cladding, assessing ability of facilities to meet functional requirements, review ability to meet current and evolving regulatory requirements, recommendations for capital investment, and implications of deferred investments by Faculty and University. Master Program includes review current space allocation of the Faculty of Medicine in conjunction with the faculty current needs as well as address approved and projected growth. TIMELINE: The Architect has completed an assessment related to Master Programming and Building Condition for the Faculty of Medicine. The study was forwarded to the owner for approval in 2020. Projects will be determined based on funding approvals and will be followed as they proceed. Coverage of this report is discontinued.
