Contractor Awarded Address: Junction City, KS USA Base and All Options Value (Total Contract Value): $8523846.00 The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, intends to issue a solicitation to construct a Maintenance Storage Facility at Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri. The Government proposes to issue a firm fixed price type design-bid-build (D-B-B) contract award for this project. The general scope of work includes construction of a two story vehicle maintenance facility with areas for both general and special purpose vehicle maintenance. Construction will include an area for vehicle maintenance and an area for the Vehicle Operations Element. Type of construction will include a reinforced concrete foundation, structural steel frame, precast concrete and a standing seam metal roof. The scope of the construction will contain infrastructure to support unique requirements such as an overhead crane and a paint booth. Supporting facilities such as utilities, pavements, and site improvements will also be included in this construction. This project will demolish several buildings which total approx. 50,000 sf. At this time, no Pre-Solicitation Conference is planned for this solicitation. If the government does elect to hold a Pre-Solicitation Conference, the pre-solicitation announcement will be modified accordingly. At this time, no organized site visit is planned for this solicitation. If the government does schedule a site visit, the details will be included in the solicitation. In accordance with FAR 36.204 and DFARS 236.204, the estimated magnitude of this construction project is: Between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and evaluated based on Price and Experience. The RFP will result in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) construction contract. The estimated performance period for completion of construction is 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP). The solicitation will be available on or about November 4, 2019 and bids will be due on or about December 5, 2019. The solicitation, including any amendments, shall establish the official opening and closing dates and times. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this project is 236220, with a size standard of $36,500,000.00. For the purposes of this procurement, a concern is considered a small business if its annual average gross revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed the size standard stated above. This solicitation is being issued as 100% small business set-aside. In accordance with FAR Part 19, and in coordination with the Small Business Administration (SBA), all responsible Small Business sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered by the agency.
