The Government proposes to issue a firm fixed price type design-bid-build (D-B-B) contract award for this project. The general scope of work includes construction of a two story vehicle maintenance facility with areas for both general and special purpose vehicle maintenance. Construction will include an area for vehicle maintenance and an area for the Vehicle Operations Element. Type of construction will include a reinforced concrete foundation, structural steel frame, precast concrete and a standing seam metal roof. The scope of the construction will contain infrastructure to support unique requirements such as an overhead crane and a paint booth. Supporting facilities such as utilities, pavements, and site improvements will also be included in this construction. This project will demolish several buildings which total approx. 50,000 sf. This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and evaluated based on Price and Experience. The RFP will result in the award of a single firm fixed price (FFP) construction contract. The estimated performance period for completion of construction is 365 calendar days from Notice to Proceed (NTP).
