The Work Generally Described Is the Reconnection and Installation of Service Lines, 2-inch and Smaller in Conjunction With Waterone's Installation of New Mains 2-inch and Larger Within the Boundaries of Water District No. 1 of Johnson County, Kansas, and All Appurtenant Work as Specified for a Contract Term of 1 Year With the Potential for Extending the Contract for a Second Year With Unit Price Adjustments Based on the Engineering News Record Construction Cost Index (Enr Cci). All Bids Must Be in Accordance With the Bidding Documents on File With Water District No. 1 of Johnson County, Kansas. All Inquiries About the Bid May Be Made by Calling Matt Carter, P.e., Lead Infrastructure Engineer, Water District No. 1 of Johnson County, at (913) 895-5776. Bids Will Be Received on a Unit Price Basis. Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Security in the Form of a Bid Bond (Ejcdc Penal Sum Form) or a Cashier's Check on a Solvent Bank in the Amount of at Least 5% of the Bid, Made Payable, Without Condition, to Water District No. 1 of Johnson County. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Performance Bond and a Public Works Bond as Security for the Faithful Performance and the Payment of All Bills and Obligations Arising From the Performance of the Contract. If the Contract Is to Be Awarded, Owner Will Award a Contract to the Bidder Who, in Owner's Judgment, Is the Lowest, Qualified, Responsible, and Responsive Bidder. Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids, Including, Without Limitation, the Right to Reject Any or All Erroneous, Nonconforming, Nonresponsive, Unbalanced, or Conditional Bids, and to Reject the Bid of Any Bidder or All Bids if Owner Believes That It Would Not Be in the Best Interest of Owner to Make an Award to That Bidder. Owner Also Reserves the Right to Waive Informalities. If the Contract Is to Be Awarded, Owner Will Give the Successful Bidder a Notice of Award Within the Number of Days Set Forth in the Bid Form.
