The Work includes; site preparation, concrete work, steel fabrications, carpentry, cabinetry, doors and windows, roofing, finishes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing and other items as indicated on the plans and specifications. Please note that all bidders shall verify that they have inspected the existing site conditions prior to submitting their bid. For all construction and equipment contracts, the bidder shall be required to submit with the bid a negotiable bid guarantee not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The bid guarantee shall be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bond at par value or a bid bond secured by a surety company. The Surety Company must be authorized to do business in the State where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. Satisfactory proof of authorization to sign on behalf of the company is required. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in awarding the contract, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularity in bidding. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bid if reasonable, and if it is in the interest of the Owner to accept it. No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the consent of the Owner. The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish assurance of completion, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Document.
