Completed plans call for the addition of a day care center; for the demolition of a day care center; for the construction of a day care center; for site work for a day care center; and for paving for a day care center.

The Work includes the construction of a 6700 sf pre-engineered metal building, and a 1500 sf addition to the existing building. Project scope includes Miscellaneous demolition, site and building concrete, masonry, PEMB walls and roofing, caulking, and sealants, interior metal framing, carpentry, doors, frames, hardware, windows, finishes, MEP work, aluminum framed storefrons and entrances, gypsum board, ACT, epoxy flooring, tile, painting, specialities, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, earthwork, ground cover, concrete and asphalt pavement, and other items as noted. Please note that all bidders should try to attend the Pre-Bid Meeting and shall verify that they have inspected the existing site conditions prior to submitting their bid. The competency and responsibility of bidders will be considered in awarding the contract, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive irregularity in bidding. In submitting this bid, it is understood that the right is reserved by the Owner to reject any and all bids. Bidder must agree to commence work on or before a date to be specified in a written “Notice to Proceed” of the Owner and to fully complete the project within 90 consecutive calendar days thereafter. Bidder must agree also to pay as liquidated damages, up to $100.00 for each consecutive calendar day thereafter as hereinafter provided in the General Conditions For all construction and equipment contracts, the bidder shall be required to submit with the bid a negotiable bid guarantee not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. The bid guarantee shall be a certified check, bank draft, U.S. Government Bond at par value or a bid bond secured by a surety company. The Surety Company must be authorized to do business in the State where the project is located and must be acceptable to the Government. The bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will be required to furnish acceptable Performance, Payment and Statutory Bonds each in the amount of the total contract price, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Document.
