Failure to respond to required updates may result in determination of a nonresponsive bid. All requests for information must be submitted, in writing, to Janie Rowland, Director of Purchasing, via email at ianic.rowland@fusd.net and received no later than 12:00 noon on Thursday, June 20,2019. Please direct all correspondence with the subject line, "Bid No. 18/19-1538 Exterior Painting". No other questions or requests for information will be accepted after this date and time. Each bid must conform and be responsible to all the pertinent contract documents and be made out on forms obtained with the bid package. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check, cash or bid bond in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount, made payable to the Board of Education, submitted in a sealed envelope, and filed with the ofEducation on or before the aforementioned date/time. Said bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into the contract if awarded to him. In the event the bidder refuses to execute said contract, the use by the public ofsaid structure(s) will be delayed and the public will suffer great damage. Therefore, the School District and the bidder agree that the above sum shall be paid to the School District under the conditions above set forth as liquidated damages, and not as forfeiture. In accordance with the provision of Public Contract Code Section 22300, substitution of eligible and equivalent securities under this contract will be permitted at the request and expense ofthe contractor. This project is subject to labor compliance monitoring and enforcement of prevailing wage requirements by the Department ofIndustrial Relations. The successful bidder(s) and any listed subcontractors) shall be required to furnish electronic certified payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner, Division of Labor Standards Enforcement. Contractor must be in possession of a current valid Class C-33 California Contractor's License at the time ofbidding and through project completion. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, and waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid or in the bidding; and to accept or reject any items thereon. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period ofthirty (30) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
