The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supplies, and supervision of labors necessary to complete the work. This project includes the following approximate total quantities: 2,342 cubic yards of ODOT 448, Type-I, PG 64-22 asphalt concrete intermediate course; 1,673 cubic yards of ODOT 448, Type-I, PG 64-22 asphalt concrete surface course; 43,121 square yards asphalt concrete surface removal by planing and grinding; 2,418 square yards of full depth asphalt pavement base repair, and other pertinent items; all as shown on construction plans and specifications prepared by the Office of the Elyria City Engineer. The bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty. The bid guaranty must meet all requirements of Section 153.54 of the ORC and the Instructions to Bidders. The contractor will have until November 1, 2019 to complete the work. PREVAILING WAGES: The contractor and any subcontractor must comply with the prevailing wage rate requirements on public improvements in Lorain County and the City of Elyria, Ohio, as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division (614) 644-2239. A complete listing of prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Lorain County may be obtained from the City of Elyria Engineer's Office at (440) 326-1444 . Please note it is the Contractor's responsibility to know the prevailing wage rates on public improvements in Lorain County. All work shall be carried out in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations that apply to the work. Any project specification item in conflict with a federal, state, or local law, rule or regulation, shall be void. All bidders must comply with the provisions of Chapter 167 of the Elyria Codified Ordinances as amended.
