Renovation of a mixed-use development in Asheboro, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a recreation facility and playground / park / athletic field.
Plans call for modifications of the grizzley bear exhibit. The scope of work includes replacing the existing interpretive viewing area on the west side of the exhibit, (currently located in front of a low pool), removal of a portion of the existing pool feature, filling of the pool, and replacement of the existing handrail and glass with a new glass containment barrier and foundation wall. GS 143-128.2 establishes a ten percent (10%) goal for participation by minority business in total value of work for each State building project.
