The proposed water treatment plant upgrade is intended to provide a reliable and cost-effective drinking water solution that complies with federal and provincial regulations, while also meeting the long-term needs of the community. The scope of work for this upgrade includes the following: - Construction of a 460 m2 building with inground reservoir; - Preselected water treatment process utilizing ozone pre-treatment and MS Filter slow sand filtration technology; - Supply and installation of a raw water intake line, intake crib and associated marine components; - Supply and installation of a raw water intake wet well and process equipment; - Mechanical, HVAC, electrical and SCADA including standby power generator; - WTP sewage connection to existing sewage collection system; - Decommissioning of an existing water treatment plant intake source; - Supply and installation of 1,525 metres of 150 mm diameter watermain distribution.
