The Adams Youth Services Center Replacement project will replace the current Adams Youth Services Center serving youth detained populations in Adams and Broomfield counties. It is designed as a single-use facility and is set within a campus environment on an approx. 15 Acre parcel for a detention population. The construction will be of the type typical to detention facilities for this type of occupancy with its concomitant security and safety components. The campus consists of two buildings: the Main Building is the first building and will be built with ~20,600 square feet and the second building is a 40-bed housing building with ~12,200 square feet of living space. The General Contractor shall coordinate with the States Project Representative for the installation of Owner provided and installed items. The G.C. shall cooperate with the state in the installation of telephone and satellite television systems prior to Substantial Completion. A separate bid package will be issued in the summer of 2019 for movable furniture, miscellaneous equipment, and residential appliances. The furniture company shall begin the installation of furniture within the buildings immediately following issuance of Substantial Completion. The General Contractor shall coordinate furniture delivery dates with the furniture company via the States Project Representative. In addition, immediately following the issuance of Substantial Completion, the state will begin moving office equipment, files, etc. into the building. Bidders are advised to be prompt. If the information is illegible or incomplete, CDHS will be unable to make contact with the bidder for forwarding and sharing addenda and other notices and information. Each individual may represent self or a single company for the purpose of bidding. Signing the pre-bid attendance list to represent more than one company is not permitted. Failure to sign-in or attend the meeting will be cause for rejection of a bid. All terms and conditions of the contract documents remain unchanged unless specifically changed by written addenda issued by CDHS. If answers or addenda create more questions or ambiguities, it is the responsibility of the bidder to seek clarification prior to submitting a bid. Bidders shall acknowledge all addenda. All questions are due by 07/01/19 at 12 pm and all answers will be provided by 07/05/19 at 3 pm. All questions and answers will be posted by addenda.
