Site work and new construction of an educational facility in North York, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 110,000-square-foot, five-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

Construction of a new School of Continuing Studies building at the Keele Campus. The proposed structure will be approximately 90,000 to 110,000 sq ft to meet the school full enrollment needs. The building will contain large flat room classrooms, numerous seminar rooms, main reception, offices for full and part time instructors, student-focused spaces such as a resource centre, evaluation room, advisors spaces, quite-multipurpose room, lounges and breakout rooms as well as student support areas for international and mature students; administrative offices, marketing spaces, a staff boardroom, meeting room, kitchen, lounges, potential cafe, bicycle storage and showers, archive and general storage spaces. Eew construction of a post-secondary educational building on a greenfield site. New post secondary building consists of five storeys with a full basement, located on the York University campus. Level 6 is a mechanical room service intended to serve the entire building, and as well as an outdoor roof space. The new SCS building will be located at the corner of The Pond Road and Ian MacDonald Boulevard, just south of the Bennett Centre, and will occupy one of York's secondary gateway sites. SCS's desire to create a high-profile building, which will be visible to the public from Keele Street, will assist in realizing certain urban design ambitions within York's Master Plan as it pertains to the development of a gateway from Keele Street and the enhancement of the streetscape along The Pond Road and Ian MacDonald Boulevard. The new SCS building is to incorporate an overarching sustainable strategy and design resulting in a high-performance building which minimizes its impact on the environment to respond to the climate change initiatives. Prequalified bidders have been invited to respond to this RFT via Merx. York will only consider Bid submissions received from Bidders who have registered with Merx and have obtained the RFT directly from Merx (www.merx.com) for the competitive bid.
