The project consists of Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, etc. required for removal of approximately 14,000 square feet of existing wallpaper in offices and corridors and provide all materials to properly prepare and paint approximately 14,000 square feet of walls and door frames, as necessary at the Department of Juvenile Services, Glen Burnie Courthouse, 7500 Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie, Maryland 21061. SUMMARY OF WORK A. The Contractor shall be responsible for the removal of all existing wall paper in all offices and corridors. B. The Contractor shall properly prep all walls by removing all residues and repair any holes, tears and blemishes. Vendor to patch skim all walls and paint all offices and corridors. All walls shall be sanded and smooth with no imperfections prior to applying paint. Color to be determined by the Department ofJuvenile Services. C. The Contractor shall supply and apply one (1) coat of primer to all walls using Sherwin Williams Pro-Block or equivalent. D. The Contractor shall supply and apply two (2) coats of Sherwin Williams semi-gloss color paint or equivalent to all walls. E. The Contractor shall minimize dust flow when sanding all surfaces. The contractor is responsible for covering air vents in areas where sanding is being performed. F. The Contractor is responsible for moving furniture as required and place back into its original position. G. The Contractor is responsible for removing and reinstalling all switch and outlet cover plates. H. The Department ofJuvenile Services will be responsible for removing all pictures, posters and mosaics from walls, as deemed necessary. The contractor shall take into consideration that some office placards may not be removable and will need to be cut-in around.
