Reconstruction of an existing asphalt and concrete curb and gutter parking lot to include approximately 6,500 square yards 6 concrete paving; 15,500 square yards 5 concrete paving; 450 square yards sidewalk paving; decomposed granite; reconstruction of a curb inlet top; striping; concrete wheel stops; signage; and lighting along with other incidentals. RFB Request for Bid A sealed written request made to prospective suppliers requesting submission of a bid for goods or services. Sealed bids have a state mandated dollar level. Question Cutoff Date 7/8/2019 04:00 PM (ET) A copy of the prospective vendors Bid Bond in the amount not less than five percent (5%) of the maximum bid price payable with recourse to the City of Garland, from a reliable surety company as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute the Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract, should be uploaded with this bid. A Payment and Performance Bond is being requested for this project. Sec. 2253.021.(1) & (2) of the Local Government Code states that all public works contract in excess of $50,000.00 require a Payment Bond and all public works contracts above $100,000.00 require a Performance Bond. Payment and Performance bonding will be for 100% of the total awarded contract. A Maintenance Bond is being requested for this project. This ensures the Contractor will maintain and keep in good repair all work to be performed and done under the Contract for a period of one (1) year from the date of acceptance of the completed work by the City. Maintenance Bonding will be for 25% of the total awarded contract.
