Renovation of a multi-residential development in Virginia, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
It is the Housing and Redevelopment Authority's intention to award a single prime contract to the lowest bid for each project based on available funding. The projects construction start is anticipated to be as soon as possible after bids have been vetted and contracts have been written and signed, late Summer / early Fall of 2019. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of the Virginia Housing and Redevelopment Authority, negotiable U. S. Government Bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, must be submitted with each bid. For the Columbia Building - no less than minimum salaries and wages set forth in the contract documents must be paid on this project (Davis-Bacon). Davis Bacon applies to Laurentian Manor if the Contract amount exceeds $150,000. Contractors must take affirmative action to ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, creed, religion, national origin, sex, marital status, age, sexual orientation, disability, familial status or status with regard to public assistance. HUD, Section 3 Compliance & Documentation are required on this project as stipulated in the Bid Documents and HUD Standards. The Virginia HRA reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities in the bidding and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
