Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Boise, Idaho. Completed plans call for the construction of a 3,400-square-foot municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Construction of a 3,400 square foot Visitor's Center and Administrative Offices to be shared by IDPR and National Park Service (NPS) staff. The structure will allow visitors to obtain permits and information regarding the various units of Thousand Springs State Park as well as surrounding recreational opportunities. The structure will also co-house the Hagerman Fossil Beds National Monument Visitor Center allowing for outreach and interpretive contact with NPS employees. The approximate 4-acre site will be developed for parking and circulation of large recreational vehicles and tour busses as well as outdoor interpretive efforts. Site work will include connecting the Visitor Center via trail to the new campground. As the project co-houses state and federal agencies, the design shall comply with both the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA) standards. As of October 22, 2020, the general contractor has been awarded and the construction is underway.
