Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in St Charles, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The project is located at the southeast corner of Main Street (IL 64) and First Street in St. Charles, Illinois. The project consists of construction of approximately 90 lineal feet of drilled soldier pile retaining wall adjacent to an existing foundation wall, backfill the area behind the proposed wall to match existing adjacent grades and green space restoration. The project also includes existing foundation wall removal (partial), wall underdrain pipe and structures, concrete form liner (textured) and stained concrete surface and fencing adjacent to the retaining wall. The goal is to create a gently sloping green space adjacent to the Fox River from Main Street to the existing Be You (First Street) Plaza area. It is anticipated that the contract for this work will be approved at the September 7, 2021 City Council Meeting. A Notice to Proceed will be issued after the contract is approved by the City Council.
