Demolition, site work and new construction of an educational facility in Manvel, Texas. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; for the construction of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
Construction is underway and is scheduled to be completed by October 2020. Proposal security in the amount of 5% of the largest possible total of Proposals submitted shall accompany each Proposal in accordance with the Instruction to Proposers. Statutory Bonds for performance of the contract and for payments of mechanics and materials shall be required in an amount equal to 100% of the accepted Proposal. The Owner reserves the right to hold all Proposals for thirty (30) calendar days from date of receipt without action, to reject any and all Proposals, to waive irregularities, and to require statements or evidence of Offerors qualifications including financial statements Completion of this Contract is of importance to the Owner. See Section 01 10 00 - Summary of Work for required completion dates. Note that milestone dates have been provided for major portions of the work, in addition to overall substantial completion date. Liquidated damages shall be assessed to the Contractor at the following rate: $1,000 per day for each day that actual substantial completion exceeds the contract completion date, with consideration given to milestone dates set forth by Owner (in Summary of Work)
