Morningside Drive Retention Pond.The project consists of excavation, soil erosion control, placement of present soils as shown on the plans in accordance with the specifications in the contract and all conditions included, in addition to piping, road construction, fencing,and control structures required to construct a water retention pond. The project consists of excavation, soil erosion control, placement of present soils as shown on the plans in accordance with the specifications in the Contract and all Conditions included. The execution of the plans will result in a surplus of soil that must be disposed of by the Contractor at its cost. The Engineer has identified a number of sites that may be suitable for disposal of the soil. The distance from the site varies from 2,000 ft to 7 miles. Bidders are free to find any other suitable site for the disposal. Disposal must comply with all applicable regulations. Disposal of the soil must be accomplished in compliance of local ordinances and State requirements.The locations have NOT been discussed with the individual property owners. The quantity of excess soil is estimated to be in the range of 25k to 30k Cubic Yards. In addition, the project includes piping, road construction, fencing, control structures, etc.
