For furnishing necessary materials, equipment, superintendence and labor for City of Anahuac, Texas, Contract A - Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project, TWDB CWSRF No. 73736, generally described as the rehabilitation of approximately 81,500 LF of 6"-24" sanitary sewer lines by pipe bursting and cured in place, replacement of manholes and sanitary sewer connections. The right is reserved by the City of Anahuac, Texas, as its interest may require, to accept or reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality in the bids received. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashiers check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Anahuac; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted in duplicate. Bids may be held by the City of Anahuac, Texas for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. Time for receiving bids is subject to change pending review and approval of the plans and specifications by the Texas Water Development Board. This contract is contingent upon release of funds from the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). Any contract or contracts awarded under this Invitation for Bids are expected to be funded in part by financial assistance from the TWDB. Neither the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) or the State of Texas, nor any of its departments, agencies, or employees are or will be a party to this Invitation for Bids or any resulting contract. Any contract(s) awarded under this Invitation for Bids is/are subject to the American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements of federal law, including federal appropriation acts. This contract is subject to the Environmental Protection Agencys (EPA) Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, which includes EPA-approved fair share goals toward procurement of Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (M/WBE) businesses. EPA rules require that prime contractors make a good faith effort to award a fair share of contracts, subcontracts, and procurements to M/WBEs through demonstration of six affirmative steps. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds.
